In the Beginning/Deat
Referring to the apple, God said: “Thou
shalt not eat of it; for in the day thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely
die”.
I think these are the last words
of truth spoken by God before he leaves the garden, transformed by the ego veil
of anger into the angry, jealous, vengeful monster we’ve all come to
loath.
He is the part inside that seems
to be universality detested, in both men and women.
The truth he is conveying refers to the ego
experience.
It is the false ego personality
that is referred to.
For at the end of
each life the ego personality dies.
That
is why you have no remembrance of past lives.
The record of that life, maintained in memory, dies when the body
dies.
Since the real you believes you
are that false personality, then it is true that who you believe yourself to be
will die.
All that remains is a record
in the form of a new layer in each of the veils which you will carry into a new
life to repeat the whole meaningless experience again. As you clear the veils, you will notice they
are layered, and at times certain deep memories will be released as particular
layers are dissolved.
What is referred
to in the east as your karma, is simply this record in the veils. It is the record of your incarnations on the
planet.
Not surprisingly, the record is
of painful lives (your soul record), fearful lives (your spirit record), and
angry lives (your God record).
So God is speaking a truth. Entering into the illusionary world of good
and evil, you leave the world of eternity, i.e., you are no longer identified
with the eternal you, but rather the temporary false ego illusion of you, and
that will surely die, again, and again, and again, until you wake up.
Later in the narrative, as the serpent
tempts Eve: “the serpent said to the woman, ye shall not surely die”. If God is telling the truth, then the serpent
must be lying.
No, the serpent (the
Goddess) is speaking a deeper truth.
For
Eve has not yet eaten the apple.
She is
still in innocence, still in eternity, and the serpent speaks the truth, for
the Eve the serpent speaks to is eternal, cannot die. The body will die, certainly, but the serpent
speaks to the eternal essence animating the body, and that cannot die.
“Die before you die” say the masters. It is this false ego personality they refer
to, and as you awaken there are many times you will feel as though some part of
you is dying.
The ego dies in stages, as
you dissolve the veils that create and sustain it. The veils are the whole key; they are the
roots of all the ego madness and suffering.
Don’t waste time trying to “fix” the nightmare. At best you will only become more
functionally dysfunctional.
Go for the
roots; pain, fear, anger.
Destroy the
roots and the whole nightmare dies, and you are reborn, resurrected from the
ashes of a painful, frightening, angry, bitter dream.
